RE: PREPARATION OF BALLOTS IN DETERMINING ESTABLISHMENT OF
CROW VALLEY LIVESTOCK COOPERATIVE, INC.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, at the request of the ranchers in the Crow Valley
and Pawnee Grassland area of Weld County, petitions have been
circulated for the formation of a Pest Control District for
grasshoppers, and
WHEREAS, under the provision of Title 35, Article 5, CRS
1973, as amended, said petitioners constitute at least twenty--
five percent of the resident landowners of said area more
particularly described in Exhibit A, attached hereto and made
a part hereof by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, accept said petitions
and direct the Weld County Extension Service to prepare
ballots for the determination of the establishment of the
Crow Valley Livestock Cooperative, Inc. Pest Control District.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, F. M. Loustalet, County Treasurer;
Herbert Hansen, County Assessor; and Stanley Boyes, County
Extension Agent; be and they hereby are, appointed as a Board
to count the ballots as they are returned and make a report
thereof as provided by statute.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly
made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 10th
day of June, A.D. , 1981.
