We are a mineral leasehold owner and a surrounding property owner within 500' of the proposed e—, development and at this time the proposal does not appear to conflict with any of our interests, therefore we do not object to the proposal. New homeowners should be aware, however, that there is a permitted mining operation within close proximity to the proposed development. We would request a note be placed on the Change of Zone and Final Plat to ensure any new property owners are notified of the mining operation, which will be in the area for many years to come. We love the open spaces and views. If you allow the farm ground south of us to go into housing,it not only changes our way of living but also takes away good farm ground. I believe the previous owners were told that the land was to remain farm ground or they would not have sold it to the present owners. They were taken advantage of in times of illness. I also beleive there is suffecient housing in Weld County that is not being lived in. We need to stop building new homes and use the ones that are already built. Our county is building too fast and cannot handle all the cars and people. Plus the fact that we need to conserve water. We also do not need our taxes to go up as there are a lot of people close around that are on fixed incomes and could not afford to have taxes and insurance going up. We strongly oppose the changing of the zone of this land just to have one family have financial gain and place others in financial hardship. We hope you will consider peoples feelings and the economical changes this would bring before making your decision to change the zoning of this land.
