RE: APPROVE RECOMMENDATION OF APPOINTMENT TO LOCAL JUVENILE
SERVICES PLANNING COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 19-2-1602.7 of House Bill 93-134 and by Resolution
dated July 7, 1993, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, together
with the Chief Judge of the Judicial District, agreed to create the Local Juvenile Services
Planning Committee, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Sterling Geesaman be appointed to said
committee, as the Weld County Sheriffs Office representative, to replace John Cooke, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to recommend to the Chief Judge of the
Nineteenth Judicial District that Sterling Geesaman be appointed to said committee, as the
Weld County Sheriffs Office representative, to replace John Cooke.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that Sterling Geesaman be appointed to said committee, as the Weld
County Sheriffs Office representative, to replace John Cooke.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 22nd day of January, A.D., 2003.

Pursuant to CRS 19-2-1602.7, and upon the recommendations of the Board of
County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
IT IS ORDERED:
The following individual is appointed to the Juvenile Services Planning
Committee for the Nineteenth Judicial District.
Sterling Geesaman is appointed to replace John Cooke as the Weld County
Sheriff's Office representative.
