The Resolution declares opposition to any
additional landfill activity in or near the
Town of Erie.

RESOLUTION 032-12
A RESOLUTION TO DECLARE OPPOSITION TO ANY ADDITIONAL LANDFILL
ACTIVITY IN OR NEAR THE TOWN OIL EP1 E, COLORADO
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Hoard of Trustees to care for
the health, safety and welfare of current and future Town
citizens; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees does not consider the effect of
sanitary landfills to be one of enhancing the quality of life
for current and future citizens of the Town; and
WHEREAS, the existence of the existing landfill located one
mile east of Erie is considered a bane and a nuisance to the
Town citizens;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Trustees of
the Town of Erie, County of Weld and County of Boulder,
Colorado:
Section 1. The Town of Erie Board of Trustees
declares opposition to any and all additional landfill
activity, now and in the future, occurring in, around or
near the Town limits of Erie.
