HomeMy WebLinkAbout20031970 RESOLUTION RE: ITEMIZING LEGAL HOLIDAYS DURING CALENDAR YEAR 2004 WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, following is a list of holidays proposed for 2004 as days off for Weld County employees: New Year's Day Thursday, January 1, 2004, and Friday, January 2, 2004 (replaces Colorado Day) Washington/Lincoln Day Monday, February 16, 2004 Memorial Day Monday, May 31, 2004 Independence Day July 4 falls on a Sunday, therefore, day off is Monday, July 5, 2004 Labor Day Monday, September 6, 2004 Veterans Day Thursday, November 11, 2004 Thanksgiving Thursday, November 25, 2004, and Friday, November 26, 2004 (replaces King's Birthday) Christmas December 25 falls on a Saturday, therefore, day off is Friday, December 24, 2004, and Thursday, December 23, 2004 (replaces Columbus Day) New Year's Day (2005) falls on Saturday, therefore day off is Friday, December 31, 2004. FLOATING HOLIDAYS: Sheriffs Department (Court Personnel)-- Will follow holiday schedule as set by State of Colorado. District Attorney-- January 2, November 26, and December 23, 2004 2003-1970 BC0033 RE: 2004 LEGAL HOLIDAYS PAGE 2 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the list of holidays as set forth above shall be observed during the calendar year of 2004 as days off for Weld County employees. The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 30th day of July, A.D., 2003.
