MEMORANDUM
Gentleman,
We are looking into the situation regarding the denial of exemption for the Griess
property at 2801 11 STRD, Greeley for 2002. At this time we are attempting to contact
Mr and Mrs Griess to get further information. We have been unable to reach them by
telephone. A letter has been sent to them requesting that they telephone us so we can
complete our research. Our records do not indicate that we ever received additional
information after the initial application was denied.
I will advise you as to the final resolution of the issue. If you have any questions, please

I am writting a complaint about our Property Tax Notification I recieved.
This past summer I recieved a notice that we were denied out Senior Tax Exemption
on our property tax. I went in person to the Assessor Office and the Treasure Office and
was told that they had my address as Arizona. I have never changed our mailing address
with the county. We do spend several months in Arizona during the winter and have our
mail forwarded through the Post Office except for the utility bills which I have temporary
changed so we get them faster.
The person I talked to had me fill out another form, checked it over and assured me every
thing would be taken care of.
However when I recieved Tax notice we were not given the Senior Discount. I never
recieved another denial so I couldn't protest. We have lived at our residents at 2801 11Th
St. Rd. since 1964. I am 69 years old and my husband is 75 years old. We have our
Drivers license from Colorado and claim Greeley as our permanet address.
I called today after recieving our Tax Notice, talked to both the Assessors office
andTreasure's office and was told it was to late and nothing could be done. I think this is
very unfair. I did everything I was souposed to do last summer to correct this error. I was
never sent another denial or notification. I think the papers I filled out the second time
were never input or sent where they were souposed to.
