RE: WAIVER OF BIDDING PROCESS CONCERNING ROOF REPAIRS DUE TO
HAIL DAMAGE
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the policies for purchasing adopted by the Board of
County Commissioners specifies that all items over $2 , 000 must
be acquired by and through said procedures, and
WHEREAS, a request has been submitted to the Board of County
Commissioners for the waiver of said bidding procedures for the
repair of roofs of County buildings which suffered extensive damage
due to a hail storm on June 4, 1983 , and
WHEREAS, the waiver of said procedures will enable the Pur-
chasing Department to solicit quotations on an emergency basis in
order to complete the repair as soon as possible , and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners deems it advisable
to waive the normal bidding procedure for said roof repairs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners that the normal bidding procedure for said roof repairs
be, and hereby is, waived.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 8th day of
June, A.D. , 1983 .
