RE: DECLARE CERTAIN EQUIPMENT AS SURPLUS PROPERTY, AND AUTHORIZE
SALE OF SAME TO HUMANE SOCIETY OF WELD COUNTY
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, State statute and the Weld County Code require that all items disposed of
be declared surplus by the Board of County Commissioners, and
WHEREAS, the County has determined that certain equipment, described as a 2000
GMC Van, 1GTGG25R2Y1225085, with a bill of sale which is attached hereto and incorporated
herein by reference, is no longer required for County use, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a proposal from the Humane Society of
Weld County to buy said equipment for and in consideration of the sum of$12,000.00, $4,000.00
of which has been received by the Accounting Department, with a commitment for the balance
to be paid in annual installments, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to declare said equipment as surplus and
approve said sale.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the abovementioned equipment be, and hereby
is, declared surplus.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the bid for purchase of said equipment
from Humane Society of Weld County in the amount of$12,000.00, $4,000.00 of which has been
received, with a commitment for the balance to be paid in annual installments, be, and hereby is,
approved.

The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 4th day of August, A.D., 2003.

THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF WELD COUNTY, COLORADO,
Seller in consideration of TWELVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ,by
Weld County Humane Society , receipt of $4,000 which is
hereby acknowledged, and a commitment for the balance to paid in
annual installments does grant, sell, transfer, and deliver to
Buyer the following goods:

MODEL: Van -
SERIAL #: 1GTGG25R2Y1225085
Buyer shall have all rights and title to the goods in
himself and his executors, administrators and assigns.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, Seller has executed the bill of sale at
Greeley, Colorado on July 28, 2003 .
