RE: DENIAL OF REQUEST TO ABANDON 1500 FEET ON WELD COUNTY ROAD
45, SOUTH OF WELD COUNTY ROAD 62
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners received a request
to abandon 1500 feet on Weld County Road 45 , south of Weld County
Road 62 , and
WHEREAS , after reviewing this request, the Board referred
this matter to the Weld County Engineer for his recommendation,
and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Airport Authority asked that Weld
County retain the right-of-way on said 1500 feet for purposes of
the airport, if needed, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Engineer recommended that the 1500
feet on Weld County Road 45, south of Weld County Road 62, not
be abandoned at this time, and
WHEREAS, after further study and review, the Board deems it
advisable to deny the request to abandon 1500 feet on Weld County
Road 45, south of Weld County Road 62.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the request to abandon
1500 feet on Weld County Road 45 , south of Weld County Road 62
be, and hereby is , denied.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 25th day of
April, A.D. , 1983 .
