RE: ACTION OF BOARD CONCERNING FOUR PETITIONS TO THE TOWN OF
LOCHBUIE, COLORADO, FOR THE ANNEXATION OF PORTIONS OF WELD
COUNTY ROAD 39, BETWEEN 1-76 AND WELD COUNTY ROAD 6
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with four Petitions to the Town of Lochbuie,
Colorado, for the annexation of portions of Weld County Road 39, between 1-76 and Weld
County Road 6, and
WHEREAS, a hearing before the Board was held on the 30th day of April, 2003, at
which time the Board deemed it advisable to continue said matter to allow adequate time for the
Board to meet with the appropriate representatives from the Town of Lochbuie in a work
session to discuss the possibility of an annexation agreement.
WHEREAS, said work session has been scheduled for May 8, 2003, at 1:30 p.m.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the abovementioned matter be, and hereby is, continued to
May 14, 2003, at 9:00 a.m.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 30th day of April, A.D., 2003.
