NATIONAL NURSES WEEK
MAY 6t12, 2003
Public health nurses have a long history of responding to
emergencies and disasters and bring a broad range of knowledge and
skills to emergency planning and response. The current national
emphasis for these nursing skills, in particular, building partnerships
with other community and emergency providers is being undertaken
while continuing the important health prevention and health
promotion work identified in your community.
We admire and highly respect the work of your public health nurses.
Please join the Colorado Department of Public Health and
Environment-Public Health Nursing Section in extending our sincere
thanks to the public health nurses in your county.
