RESOLUTION OF RECOMMENDATION TO THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
Moved by James Rohn, that the following resolution be introduced for denial by the Weld County Planning
Commission. Be it resolved by the Weld County Planning Commission that the application for:
CASE NUMBER: USR-1436
APPLICANT: Russ Otterstein
PLANNER: Kim Ogle
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: S2 NE4 & NE4 NE4 of Section 19, T1 N, R66W of the 6th P.M., Weld
County, Colorado.
REQUEST: Site Specific Development P Ian and Special Review Permit for Mineral
Resource Development facilities; including open pit mining and materials
processing; including a Concrete and Asphalt Batch Plant in the A
(Agricultural)Zone District.
LOCATION: South of and adjacent to CR 8; east of and adjacent to US 85; and west of
and adjacent to CR 27.
be recommended unfavorably to the Board of County Commissioners for the following reasons:
1. Section 23-2-220 A..6-applicant shall show diligence in conserving prime agricultural land.
2. Section 23-2-220.A.7-the health safety and welfare of the county.
3. Section 23-2-720.A.3- the compatibility with the surrounding area.
