WELD COUNTY COUNCIL „1
May 20, 2003
The Weld County Council met in regular session in full conformity with the Weld County
Home Rule Charter at Weld County Centennial Center, 915 10"' Street, Greeley, CO,
Tuesday, May 20, 2003, 6:30 p.m.
ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by President Mitchell Martin. Vice
President Douglas Rademacher, Councilman Dwaine Kurtz, Councilman Chip Marks,
and Councilman William Sander, were present constituting a quorum of the members.
Also present: the Council secretary, Bev Thomas.
AGENDA ADDITIONS/APPROVAL: Councilman William Sander made a motion to
approve the agenda as presented. The motion was seconded and carried.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Councilman Dwaine Kurtz made a motion to approve the
April 15, 2003 Council minutes. The motion was seconded and carried.
PUBLIC COMMENT: There was no public comment.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS: Councilman Chip Marks reported that he had visited with
Commissioner Masden. Commissioner Masden had addressed with Norma Taylor her
concerns she had presented at the Weld County Council's April 15, 2003 meeting.

NEW BUSINESS:
HOUSEKEEPING/RECORDS AT WELD COUNTY COUNCIL OFFICE
Councilman Dwaine Kurtz made a motion to allow disposal of Weld County Council
documents as provided by law except for legal opinions received from Weld County
Attorneys, Weld County Council member roster information, minutes, and resolutions.
Councilman Douglas Rademacher seconded the motion and it carried unanimously.
WELD COUNTY COUNCIL 2004 BUDGET
Councilman Dwaine Kurtz made a motion to approve the Weld County Council 2004
budget as listed and authorize the Council President to make adjustments not
exceeding $500 to make the budget balance. Councilman Chip Marks seconded the
motion. With approval of the Councilman Chip Marks, Councilman Kurtz withdrew his
motion.
Councilman William Sander made a motion to approve the 2004 Weld County Council
budget as listed so that total budgeted will be: $26,209.

The motion was seconded, and on a roll call vote, the motion was unanimously
approved.
CORRESPONDENCE: The Council reviewed the correspondence.
COORDINATOR REPORTS: Council members discussed topics for future Council
meeting review programs.
PAY BILLS: Councilman Dwaine Kurtz made a motion to pay the following bills:
Mileage for Councilman Chip Marks $28.56
Mileage for Councilman Mitchell Martin $21.76
Mileage for Councilman Douglas Rademacher $19.04
Mileage for Councilman Will Sander $ 5.44
Bev Thomas for office supplies $68.86
The motion was seconded and carried.
ADJOURNMENT: The meeting was adjourned 7:45 p.m.
