HomeMy WebLinkAbout810499.tiff RESOLUTION RE: WAIVER OF BIDDING PROCESS CONCERNING ACQUISITION OF COMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, the policies for purchasing adopted by the Board of County Commissioners specifies that all items over $2, 000. 00 must be acquired by and through said procedures, and WHEREAS, the Director of Communications has submitted a request to the Board of County Commissioners for the waiver of said bidding procedures for upgrading the communications department equipment, and WHEREAS, the waiver of said procedures will enable the communications department to obtain equipment that is compatible with the present system. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commis- sioners deems it advisable to waive the norman bidding procedure for this one-time upgrade of communications equipment, voice logging recorder/reproduces system, as follows: $56, 846 Radio console update to be purchased. from Motorola $10, 508 Recorder replacement to be purchased- from Dictaphone $ 6, 927 Microwave development .to-_.be purchased from Motorola & Mt. Bell $74, 281 TOTAL BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners does hereby authorize the purchase of said equipment totaling $74, 281. 00.
