Subject: Change of Zone requested by Carl Hill/W.B.Farm Estates
This letter is the City of Thornton response to Referenced Case number concerning
Subject request for Change of Zone.
The City of Thornton being a"Surrounding Property/Mineral Owner" is making it known
and is notifying Weld County that the drainage ditch situated on the north and east side of
the property(Carl Hill/W.B. Farm Estates) is active and the water is being used for
irrigation purposes. The irrigation use is on the Thornton owned farm located in the north
east 'A of section 20 township? range 66. For this reason access to maintain this ditch is
needed to assure flow efficiency and integrity.
It will be necessary in the site plan and development that access to this ditch by ditch
cleaning equipment be included for maintenance purposes.
