RE: GRANT REQUEST FROM LANCE AND JULEE MEINERS TO PRE-ADVERTISE
CHANGE OF ZONE, PZ#1007
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has received a request from Lance and Julee Meiners, 713 Sitka
Street, Fort Collins, Colorado 80524,for pre-advertisement of an application for Change of Zone,
PZ#1007, from the A (Agricultural) Zone District to the PUD (Planned Unit Development) Zone
District,for six(6)lots with E(Estate)zone uses and one(1)non-residential lot with A(Agricultural)
zone uses, and
WHEREAS,said property is described as Lot C of Recorded Exemption#3092; being part
of the NE1/4 NW 1/4 of Section 33,Township 9 North, Range 67 West of the 6th P.M.,Weld County,
Colorado, and
WHEREAS,after study and review the Board deems it advisable to grant said request,with
the hearing date to be set as May 14, 2003, at 10:00 a.m.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the request from Lance and Julee Meiners for pre-advertisement of an
application for Change of Zone, PZ #1007, from the A (Agricultural) Zone District to the PUD
(Planned Unit Development)Zone District,for six(6)lots with E(Estate)zone uses and one(1)non-
residential lot with A (Agricultural) zone uses be, and hereby is, granted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the hearing date to consider said request
be, and hereby is, set as May 14, 2003, at 10:00 a.m.

Lance and Julee Meiners have submitted a request that the application for Change of Zone#1006,
which will be heard by the Planning Commission on May 6, 2003, be pre-advertised. If you wish
to approve this request, a hearing before the Board on May 14, 2003, will allow adequate time for
advertising.

SUBJECT: Pre-advertisement for PZ-1007, The Shire
Lance and Julie Meiners are requesting a pre-advertisement for PZ-1007. The Planning
Commission hearing was postponed because referral responses were not received in time for
Planning Staff to complete comments. Planning Services is recommending approval of this
request.

RE: Subject PZ-1007—Request for an early Board hearing.
We are respectfully requesting that the Planning Commission Board consider reviewing
the above referenced development at an early board hearing.
We were originally scheduled for the April 1, 2003 meeting, but had to be continued to
the next month's meeting. Sheri Lockman can explain the extenuating circumstances in
this case.
