Stonebraker. The Plat is ready for County signatures and for recording. Per your telephone inquiry of April 21, 2003, regarding"screening" for the aforesaid USR, please be reminded that the Applicants have consistently stated and represented that they intended to encompass the USR perimeter with a 6'chain link fiance. Ijg opaque slatting or fabric is intended as such treatment does not really"screen", particularly for this use, being containers, well buffered by lands owned by the Applicants, is subject to wind and sun damage and trash retention and really serves no positive visual purpose_ The USR site is well removed from adjacent uses and it is the Applicants desire to minimize calling attention to the site as stated in the Application and during all hearings. On January 8, 2003, the Hudson Planning Commission reviewed the Application_ At that Proceeding both the undersigned and Mr. Stonebraker stated fencing would be 6'chain link— with no slats. The Hudson Commission had no negative comments regarding the use. Similarly, on January 20th, the Keenesburg Town Council reviewed the Application and was advised as to the proposed open 6'chain link fence. This concept was satisfactory to the Council. Further both the Weld County Planning Commission on February 18th and the Board of County Commissioners on April 2, 2003 were similarly advised. The Planning Commission minutes so reflect and Mr. Vaad specifically asked about fencing in the Commissioners proceeding. In addition, my letter to you of March 131°outlines the screening concept., aoc 3- 3 55- 1 RUL.P53 FROM : LEEBURG & ASSOCIATES • PHONE NO. : 4422428 • Apr. 24 2003 10:51AM p3 Mr. Chris Gathman, Planner Department of Planning Services Weld County, Colorado April 24, 2003 Page 2 Based on the foregoing, it is respectfully requested the perimeter fencing remain as originally planned; i.e., 6' chain link topped with 3-strand barbed wire with no slatting or opaque treatment Please advise at 303-947-0791, if problems arise.
