To the Planner on call:
I would like to address two issues that are occurring east of CR 1 in Weld County.
The first is an application for a varience from agricultural status to have a banquet hall and
equestrian center east of CR 1 and north of CR 34. There was a party held there the weekend
of July 19-20 and although I was not home at the time to assess the situation (noise), my
neighbors called me because of their concern about the traffic. Cars were backed up almost to
Rte 66 and many cars were parked on the side of the road, especially on the hill which makes
for a dangerous situation. The aftermath of the party that I see every time I drive by is a field
littered with cans, bottles, paper and plastic.
The second concern is the remote control airport east of CR 1 and north of CR 36. People
move out to the country for the peace, quiet and lack of traffic. With these planes flying
around, there is a constant annoying droning whenever I am out of doors.
my concerns will be considered at the hearings for these two issues. Thank you.
