RE: APPROVE AFFIRM GRIEVANCE BOARD DECISION OF DECEMBER 13, 2002,
REGARDING SANDRA MEIER
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Weld County Code, Chapter Three, the Board has received an
appeal of a portion of the Grievance Board decision of December 13, 2002, regarding Sandra
Meier, and
WHEREAS, said appeal was received in a timely manner and was properly filed, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, having reviewed the Findings of Fact
and Decision of the Grievance Board; the Memorandum of Appeal from Ms. Meier; the
Response to Sandra Meier's Appeal of the Findings of Fact and Decision of the Hearing Board
(memorandum brief submitted by the County Attorney's Office); and the copy of the appeals
process from the Grievance Section of the Weld County Code, Chapter Three, deems it
advisable to affirm the December 13, 2002, appealed portion of the decision of the Grievance
Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the appealed portion of the Grievance Board decision of
December 13, 2002, regarding Sandra Meier was not incorrect or in excess of the Grievance
Board's jurisdiction, authority, purposes, or limitations.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the appealed portion of the decision of
the Grievance Board be, and hereby is, affirmed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that, to maintain the confidentiality of this
Personnel Matter, the Clerk to the Board be, and hereby is, directed to return the above listed
documents to the Personnel Department.
