Re: Consent to Enforcement of 1997 Uniform Fire Code, with Amendments, in the
Milliken Fire District
Dear Dean:
I thought I would check to see if you have found any evidence of notice of the public
meeting of the Milliken Fire District Board of Directors when the 1997 Uniform Fire
Code, with amendments, was adopted. You may recall that we discussed how the Board
of County Commissioners of Weld County will most likely require the District to have
held a public meeting with notice to those persons who would be affected by the adoption
of the Code. To date I have not scheduled the matter before the Board of County
Commissioners because I have been waiting for a communication by you that such notice
and meeting have taken place.
With a copy of this letter, I am sending a copy of this letter, along with a copy of the
District's resolution and amendments,to Mr. Jeff Reif,Building Inspector, for him to
review them to determine if they conflict with Weld County's Building Code.
Please call me at(970) 356-4000, ext. 4390,if you have such information or if you would
like to discuss the matter fiuther.
Thank you for your attention.
