RE: APPROVE EXTENSION OF TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF WELD COUNTY ROAD 26
BETWEEN WELD COUNTY ROADS 13 AND 15
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS,by Resolution#2003-2577,dated September 8,2003,the Board approved the
temporary closure of Weld County Road 26 between Weld County Roads 13 and 15, with said
closure to be effective September 8,2003,for approximately 25 working days,for road construction,
and
WHEREAS,the project contractor,Asphalt Specialist, has requested an extension of said
temporary closure to November 14, 2003, due to inclement weather, and
WHEREAS,after review,the Board deems it advisable to approve said extension request,
a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the request for an extension of the temporary closure of Weld County
Road 26 between Weld County Roads 13 and 15, be, and hereby is, approved.
The above and foregoing Resolution was,on motion duly made and seconded,adopted by
the following vote on the 10th day of November, A.D., 2003.

Road Closure: Asphalt Specialist Company Inc.,subcontract(r for Weld County, will
close WCR 26 between WCR 13 and WCR 15 on 9/8/2003 for road construction. It is
expected to be closed until 10/3/2003.
The appropriate documentation is enclosed.

The road closure for WCR 26 between 13 and 15 is being done by our subcontractor, Asphalt Specialist.
The expected date to open the road was 10/31; however that date has been extended to 11/14 due to
weather per Dean. This went through the board with the original close/open dates. Now that the open
date is extended, does this need to go to the board>
