RE: ACTION OF BOARD CONCERNING FOUR PETITIONS TO THE TOWN OF LOCHBUIE,
COLORADO, FOR THE ANNEXATION OF PORTIONS OF WELD COUNTY ROAD 39,
BETWEEN 1-76 AND WELD COUNTY ROAD 6
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Town of Lochbuie has asked the Board to approve four petitions to the
Town of Lochbuie to annex portions of Weld County Road 39, between 1-76 and Weld County Road
6, so that the Town may then have sufficient contiguity to annex a waste-water treatment plant,
copies of which are attached hereto, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to continue this matter to June 18,
2003, to allow additional time for revised petitions to be drafted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the request to approve Petitions for Annexation, known as Petitions#3,#4,
#5, and#6,for the annexation of portions of Weld County Road 39, between 1-76 and Weld County
Road 6, to the Town of Lochbuie, Colorado, as shown on the attached maps, be, and hereby is,
continued to June 18, 2003, at 9:00 a.m.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 28th day of May, A.D., 2003.
