RESOLUTION
RE: AUTHORIZATION FOR THE WELD COUNTY TREASURER TO CANCEL COUNTY
TAX LIEN SALE CERTIFICATE
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Claud W. Hanes, Treasurer of Weld County, has requested authorization to
cancel County Tax Lien Sale Certificate Number 426/88, with a description of said Certificate
and the property it encumbers being set forth in a letter from Mr. Hanes to the Board of County
Commissioners, dated February 25, 2003, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by
reference, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners deems it advisable to cancel said
County Tax Lien Sale Certificate as requested by the Weld County Treasurer, pursuant to
Section 39-10-114, C.R.S.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that County Tax Lien Sale Certificate Number 426/88, be, and hereby
is, canceled.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 3rd day of March, A.D., 2003.

MEMO TO: WELD COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
On NOVEMBER 3, 1988 Tax Lien Sale Certificate 426/88 was sold to PAUL C ROADS for the
following property:
PARCEL #105909205004
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: JOH 21875 L5-6 JOHNSTOWN COLONY
I am hereby asking for TS CERT 426/88 to be canceled because of a second tax lien sale
certificate of purchase was sold on NOVEMBER 4, 1999 to TOWN OF JOHNSTOWN.
TOWN OF JOHNSTOWN made application for a Treasurer's Deed to the property and at that
time PAUL C ROADS was notified and given the opportunity to endorse all subsequent taxes
onto his certificate and make application for a Treasurer's Deed himself PAUL C ROADS chose
not to take any action. The Treasurer's Deed was issued FEBRUARY 24, 2003 to TOWN OF
JOHNSTOWN. This created the need of a resolution by the Board of County Commissioners to
cancel TS CERT 426/88.
No authorization of refund to PAUL C ROADS due to the circumstances described above.
