Dear Mr. Geile: - -
The Brighton City Council would like to request a joint meeting with the Commissionezp
to discuss items of common interest to the Board of County Commissioners and City
Council.
We realize that Brighton is presently a small part of Weld County, however, the City
Council continues to receive requests for more development within Weld County. In
light of these inquiries, we would like to discuss growth boundaries and reestablish our
efforts to obtain an intergovernmental agreement between our two jurisdictions. Other
issues the City Council would like to discuss are; code enforcement/clean up of the
Highway 85 corridor, plans for a new regional wastewater treatment plant and finally to
celebrate the success of the Chambers Subdivision annexation.
Please coordinate with Yolanda Sandoval regarding dates in September that the Board
would be available to meet with the City Council. Thank you for your prompt response
to our request.
