E-4-70'Signals' Opening-On January 5,2005, E-470 opened the final eight miles of the highway,over
five weeks ahead of schedule and on budget.The last stretch was the most challenging to construct- it
included -1-2.bridges (more than any other segment on the road), including an a9ueduct that raised the
signal Ditch over the highway (pictured).The bridge will be used as a maintenance road and, in the
future,will become part of the City of Thornton's trail system. Nine other bridges had to be built over
nine other ditches and one railroad crossing was installed on a bridge over the highway.See more
