RE: APPROVAL OF COURIER AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE WELD COUNTY LIBRARY
AND THE HIGH PLAINS REGIONAL LIBRARY SYSTEM OF GREELEY
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, a courier agreement between the Weld County Library
and the High Plains Regional Library System of Greeley has been
presented to the Board of County Commissioners for their approval ,
and
WHEREAS, said agreement concerns the providing of courier
services by the High Plains Regional Library System of Greeley
to the Weld County Library, as more fully set forth in the agree-
ment, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein
by reference, and
WHEREAS , the term of said agreement is from October 1 , 1983 ,
through September 30 , 1984, with a reviewal date of July 15 , 1984 ,
and
WHEREAS, the Board, having reviewed said contract, deems it
advisable to approve the same.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the agreement between
the Weld County Library and the High Plains Regional Library System
of Greeley for courier services be, and hereby is, approved.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 29th day of
August, A.D. , 1983 .

HIGH PLAINS COURIER AGREEMENT
THIS IS AN AGREEMENT between the High Plains Regional Library
System of Greeley, Colorado, herinafter called High Plains, and the
Weld County Public Library of Greeley, Colorado, hereinafter called
Library. The purpose of this agreement is the provision of Courier
Service to the Library.
High Plains agrees to:
1 . Provide delivery and pick up of library materials each week day,
weather and road conditions permitting. The specific days and
times of delivery will be agreed upon by both parties.
2. Provide courier routing cards and other routing and record keeping
materials required by High Plains to the Library.
3. Advise Library of added or deleted agencies and the effect these
changes would have on Courier costs.
Library agrees to:
1 . Provide a single convenient location for pick up and delivery of
materials within the Library.
2. Abide by the operational policies and procedures of High Plains as
they pertain to the High Plains Courier Service.
3. Compensate High Plains in the amount of $1 .74? for a twelve month
period of service, October 1 , 1983 through September 30 , 1984. The
contracting agency will be billed October 1 , 1983 for the full
amount.
4. Negotiate with High Plains for increased or decreased costs and or
services upon the addition or deletion of agencies participating in
the Courier Service.
This agreement shall be in effect from October 1 , 1983 through
September 30 , 1984. The agreement will be reviewed by July 15 , 1984,
at which time a renewed contractual agreement will be offered. High
Plains reserves the right to adjust the level of compensation commen-
surate with actual and anticipated costs at the time a renewal agree-
ment is offered.

This agreement may be terminated by either party at any time by
giving the other party thirty (30) days written notice.
