RE: ACTION OF BOARD AT SHOW CAUSE HEARING CONCERNING AMENDED USE BY
SPECIAL REVIEW PERMIT#673 FOR A DOG KENNEL (MAXIMUM OF 16 DOGS) IN
THE A(AGRICULTURAL) ZONE DISTRICT - CATHERINE CARIASO
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, on February 18, 2004, a Show Cause Hearing was conducted to consider
revocation of Amended Use by Special Review Permit#673 for a Dog Kennel (maximum of 16
dogs)in the A(Agricultural)Zone District issued to Catherine Cariaso,750 Highway 60,Loveland,
Colorado 80537, and
WHEREAS,Catherine Cariaso is the current owner of the facility located on property being
further described as follows:
Part of the NE1/4 of Section 6, Township 4 North,
Range 68 West of the 6th P.M., Weld County,
Colorado
WHEREAS,at said hearing of February 18,2004,after hearing all testimony presented,the
Board deemed it advisable to continue the matter to March 3, 2004, at 10:00 a.m., to allow the
respondent additional time to come into compliance, and
WHEREAS, at said hearing of March 3, 2004, after hearing all testimony presented, the
Board deemed it advisable to continue the matter to June 16,2004,at 10:00 a.m.,with the condition
that a staff inspection be performed on March 31, 2004, confirming that the number of adult dogs
(6 months and older) has been reduced to 16, and remain as such until the respondent either
removes the kennel or receives approval for an Amended Use by Special Review Permit allowing
additional dogs.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County,Colorado,that the Show Cause Hearing concerning revocation of Amended Use by Special
Review Permit#673, issued to Catherine Cariaso, be,and hereby is, continued to June 16,2004,
at 10:00 a.m.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the respondent shall reduce the number
of adult dogs (6 months and older) to 16, which shall be confirmed by a staff inspection to be
performed on March 31,2004,and shall remain in compliance with that amount until the kennel is
removed or an amendment to the Use by Special Review Permit is granted allowing additional dogs.

The above and foregoing Resolution was,on motion duly made and seconded,adopted by
the following vote on the 3rd day of March, A.D., 2004.
