AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, the Board is the holder of Tax Sale Certificate of Purchase No. 871/01, which applies to property described as "4167 Unplatted Block 25, Dearfield", Weld County, Colorado, and is for the 2001, 2002 and 2003 taxes, with interest, totaling $520.27, and WHEREAS, the Black American West Museum and Heritage Center, Inc., 3091 California Street, Denver, Colorado 80205, desires to purchase the Tax Sale Certificate for the sum of$520.27, which sum has been received by the Weld County Treasurer. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Weld County Treasurer be and hereby is directed to prepare Tax Sale Certificate of Purchase No. 871/01 for assignment to the Black American West Museum and Heritage Center, Inc. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chairman is hereby authorized to sign said assignment, if necessary, and any other associated necessary documentation to conclude said assignment. The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 3rd day of November, A.D., 2004. The Certificate was stricken off to the County for the failure of the taxpayer to pay the property taxes for 2000. Additionally, taxes for 2001, 2002, and 2003 were endorsed to the Certificate. Therefore, the total amount due Weld County, including interest, for Certificate No. 871/01 is $520.27 (good through October 29, 2004). Be advised that Tax Sale Certificate of Purchase No. 929/00 is also outstanding. The holder of that Certificate, Stephen Richmeier, has applied for the issuance of a Treasurer's Deed. The redemption period has begun and the total amount to redeem Mr. Richmeier is $268.24 if done on or before October 29, 2004. Rent R 41% 93E6 The Board of Cotmty Commissioners has statutory authority to assign Certificate No. 871/01 if it receives the full amount that is due on the Certificate($520.27 through October 29, 2004) and a $6.00 assignment fee. The Board is willing to assign the Certificate to the Black America West Museum &Heritage Center for this sum. Payment in the sum of$526.27 should be made payable to Weld County, Colorado, and sent to me at: P.O.
