Home My WebLink About20041778.tiff RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS MINUTES HOUSING AUTHORITY WELD COUNTY, COLORADO JUNE 28, 2004 TAPE #2004-27 The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, met in regular session as the Housing Authority Board in full conformity with the laws of the State of Colorado at the regular place of meeting in the Weld County Centennial Center, Greeley, Colorado, June 28, 2004, at the hour of 9:00 a.m. ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by the Chair and on roll call the following members were present, constituting a quorum of the members thereof: Commissioner Robert D. Masden, Chair Commissioner William H. Jerke, Pro-Tem Commissioner M. J. Geile Commissioner David E. Long Commissioner Glenn Vaad Also present: County Attorney, Bruce Barker Acting Clerk to the Board, Carol A. Harding Finance and Administration Director, Don Warden MINUTES: Commissioner Long moved to approve the minutes of the Housing Authority Board meeting of May 24, 2004, as printed. Commissioner Geile seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously. NEW BUSINESS: CONSIDER EMERGENCY SHELTER GRANT CONTRACT AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN: Tom Teixeira, Director of Housing Authority,stated funding is received from the State Division of Housing, in the amount of$53,769. He stated the funds are Federal funds passed through the State to be distributed to sub-contractors for housing. Commissioner Geile moved to approve said contract and authorize the Chair to sign. Seconded by Commissioner Long, the motion carried unanimously. CONSIDER GENERAL ASSISTANCE AGREEMENT FOR SERVICES AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN- A WOMAN'S PLACE, INC.: Mr.Teixeira stated this agreement is to provide shelter and case management services, at a level not to exceed $15,881. Commissioner Vaad moved to approve said contract and authorize the Chair to sign. Seconded by Commissioner Jerke, the motion carried unanimously. CONSIDER GENERAL ASSISTANCE AGREEMENT FOR SERVICES AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN- GREELEY TRANSITIONAL HOUSE, INC.: Mr.Teixeira stated this agreement provides shelter and case management resources, in the amount of$25,870. Commissioner Geile moved to approve said contract and authorize the Chair to sign. Seconded by Commissioner Long, the motion carried unanimously. 2004-1778 BC0016 CONSIDER GENERAL ASSISTANCE AGREEMENT FOR SERVICESANDAUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN- CATHOLIC CHARITIES NORTHERN: Mr.Teixeira stated this agreement provides$18,250 for use at the Guadalupe Shelter. Commissioner Long moved to approve said contract and authorize the Chair to sign. Seconded by Commissioner Jerke, the motion carried unanimously. Let the minutes reflect that the above and foregoing actions were attested to and respectfully submitted by the Acting Clerk to the Board.
