HomeMy WebLinkAbout20040694.tiff RESOLUTION RE: APPROVE CREATE TRAFFIC SIGNAL LIGHT TRUST FUND WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, the Board of Weld County Commissioners wishes to create a traffic signal light trust fund that will act as a revolving fund to fund the installation of traffic signal lights on county roads, only where said signal lights will be maintained by another entity, and WHEREAS, in some cases there will be cost sharing of the signal light with private developers, and other governmental entities, and WHEREAS, portions of the costs for signal lights may be reimbursed over time as development occurs in the area, and WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works, and Director of Finance and Administration have recommended that a Traffic Signal Light Trust Fund be created to account for this program, and that the Board of County Commissioners authorizes a revolving fund amount of five-hundred thousand dollars ($500,000.00) for this fund's purpose with said funds coming from the Public Works Fund's fund balance. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Weld County Treasurer and Accounting Department be, and hereby are, authorized to create a Signal Light Trust Fund (Trust Fund Number 7079). BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Weld County Treasurer be, and hereby is, authorized to transfer five-hundred thousand dollars ($500,000.00) to the Signal Light Trust Fund from the Public Works Fund as an advance of funds. 2004-0694 AC0005 CC' : /lc � �/c) CREATE TRAFFIC SIGNAL LIGHT TRUST FUND PAGE 2 The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 8th day of March, A.D., 2004.
