After discussion, it was the Board's decision to expand the Library Board to nine rather than to seven members. Expansion to nine members would follow Home Rule Charter guidelines to allow representation from all areas of the County by appointing one person from each of the six Advisory Board Areas and three at-large members. I am enclosing a copy of the Advisory Board Areas for your information. After some research, I have determined that present Board membership includes representation from Areas 2 (one member), 3 (three members) , and 6 (1 member) . The recommended appointees are from Areas 1 , 3, and 5. One representative will be needed from Area 4 to bring the membership into line with Home Rule Charter provisions. Also enclosed, please find your draft copy of the Library Board of Trustees By-Laws and a copy which has been revised to be consistent with other advisory board by-laws. Please provide this office with the correct information to complete Article II, Purpose. If you feel additional discussion in a Work Session is necessary after the Library Board has discussed these matters, please give Tereasa a call ; she will make the necessary arrangements.
