Re: Fairview Street Extension and Railroad Crossing
Gentlemen:
I have resided at this address since September of last year. Our home is located at the No. 14
tee box on Fox Hill Country Club. Previously we lived on the other side of the golf course
across the street from the No. 4 tee box.
I have been actively involved with Fox Hill Country Club since it opened in November 1972,
and am on the golf course as frequently as my schedule permits. In recent years, the number
of trains that the Great Western Railway Company operates has diminished greatly to the place
where it is now a very rare occurrence to see — or hear - a train being operated on the Great
Western tracks that bisect the County Club's property. The Club has a one unsignalized grade
level crossing of Great Western's tracks. I believe the next unsignalized grade level crossing
east is the one that crosses Weld County Road 1.
