Dear Monica,
Thanks again for your assistance with this process and consideration by the county
of Adler Estates. Our design team has compiled a few questions regarding planning
issues related to the PUD process for Adler Estates that we were hoping you could
help to answer.
Melody Homes would like to hold neighborhood meetings for the Adler Estates
project. We want to get the neighbors involved so that we can identify community
concerns and get input for our design process. Please let me know how you have
done this in the past. We would like to hold the meetings at the Weld County,
Longmont annex building because of its proximity to the site, and of course would
like you to attend the meetings too. Please let us know what times work with your
schedule. Also, in your letter dated March 11th, 2004, you make reference to a
meeting with the surrounding jurisdiction's planning departments. Please let me
know when those meetings are and who from our team needs to attend.
On another note, I have a few questions regarding some site planning issues;
1. Does the county have standards for well operations setbacks and allowable uses
(i.e. detention/open space)?
2. Will the county allow the use of metro districts within Adler Estates?
Melody Homes is considering two metro districts, an Improvement District to build
the parks, roads, infrastructure, off-sites, and a second Recreation District for the
long-term maintenance of landscape, parks and open space.
3. Will we be getting comments from you that will require revisions prior to the hearing
in May? If so, please let me know the schedule on that.
