Home My WebLink About20042159.tiff RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS MINUTES HOUSING AUTHORITY WELD COUNTY, COLORADO JULY 26, 2004 TAPE #2004-30 The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, met in regular session as the Housing Authority Board in full conformity with the laws of the State of Colorado at the regular place of meeting in the Weld County Centennial Center, Greeley, Colorado, July 26, 2004, at the hour of 9:00 a.m. ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by the Chair and on roll call the following members were present, constituting a quorum of the members thereof: Commissioner Robert D. Masden, Chair Commissioner William H. Jerke, Pro-Tem Commissioner M. J. Geile Commissioner David E. Long Commissioner Glenn Vaad - EXCUSED Also present: County Attorney, Bruce Barker Acting Clerk to the Board, Debra Miller Finance and Administration Director, Don Warden MINUTES: Commissioner Geile moved to approve the minutes of the Housing Authority Board meeting of June 28, 2004, as printed. Commissioner Long seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously. NEW BUSINESS: CONSIDER COORDINATION OF SERVICES AGREEMENT AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN - GREELEY TRANSITIONAL HOUSE, INC.: Tom Teixeira, Director of Housing Authority, stated that the Colorado State Division of Housing has awarded the Weld County Housing Authority $53,769.00 in Emergency Shelter Grant Funds,which will be distributed between four shelters. The Greeley Transitional House will receive$13,703.00 of these monies. Commissioner Long moved to approve said contract and authorize the Chair to sign. Seconded by Commissioner Geile, the motion carried unanimously. CONSIDER COORDINATION OF SERVICES AGREEMENT AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN - CATHOLIC CHARITIES/NORTHERN, INC.: Mr.Teixeira stated the above contract allocates$19,171.00 to Catholic Charities for the operation of the Guadalupe Shelter. Commissioner Geile moved to approve said contract and authorize the Chair to sign. Seconded by Commissioner Jerke, the motion carried unanimously. CONSIDER COORDINATION OF SERVICES AGREEMENT AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN-A ROOM AT THE INN: Mr. Teixeira stated this allocates $7,674.00 for the Room at the Inn counseling services. He stated the actual shelter is provided by a dozen churches that take turns sheltering individuals 2004-2159 BC0016 Oct. c7 -0" throughout the City. Commissioner Geile moved to approve said contract and authorize the Chair to sign. Seconded by Commissioner Long, the motion carried unanimously. CONSIDER COORDINATION OF SERVICES AGREEMENT AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN - A WOMAN'S PLACE, INC.: Mr. Teixeira stated this contract allocates $11,721.00 to A Woman's Place. Commissioner Jerke moved to approve said contract and authorize the Chair to sign. Seconded by Commissioner Geile, the motion carried unanimously. Let the minutes reflect that the above and foregoing actions were attested to and respectfully submitted by the Acting Clerk to the Board.
