RE: SITE SPECIFIC DEVELOPMENT PLAN AND USE BY SPECIAL REVIEW PERMIT#1451
FOR A KENNEL (NOT TO EXCEED 10 ADULT DOGS (6 MONTHS AND OLDER)) IN
THE A(AGRICULTURAL) ZONE DISTRICT - RALPH AND BARBARA MAY
A public hearing was conducted on March 17, 2004, at 10:00 a.m., with the following present:
Commissioner Robert D. Masden, Chair- EXCUSED
Commissioner William H. Jerke, Pro-Tem
Commissioner M. J. Geile
Commissioner David E. Long
Commissioner Glenn Vaad - EXCUSED
Also present:
Acting Clerk to the Board, Esther Gesick
Assistant County Attorney, Lee Morrison
Planning Department representative, Chris Gathman
Health Department representative, Char Davis
Public Works representative, Donald Carroll
The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated February27,2004,and duly published March 4,2004,
in the South Weld Sun, a public hearing was conducted to consider the request of Ralph and
Barbara May for a Site Specific Development Plan and Use by Special Review Permit#1451 for a
Kennel(not to exceed 10 adult dogs(6 months and older))in the A(Agricultural)Zone District. Lee
Morrison,Assistant County Attorney, made this a matter of record. Chair Pro-Tem Jerke advised
applicants, Ralph and Barbara May, that they have the option of continuing this matter to a date
when the full board will be present. However, if they decide to proceed today, it will require three
affirmative votes. Ms. May stated they would like to continue to a future date. In response to
Commissioner Jerke, Esther Gesick,Deputy Clerk to the Board,reviewed the various hearing dates
available on the Board's schedule. Mr. Morrison stated this matter also has a court date pending;
however,that can be continued to accommodate this continuance. No public testimonywas offered
concerning this matter.
Commissioner Long moved to continue the request of Ralph and Barbara May for a Site Specific
Development Plan and Use by Special Review Permit#1451 for a Kennel (not to exceed 10 adult
dogs(6 months and older))in the A(Agricultural)Zone District,to April 5,2004,at 10:00 a.m.,when
a full quorum of the Board will be present. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Geile,and
it carried unanimously. There being no further discussion,the hearing was completed at 12:00 p.m.
