St nmark DATE PRESENTED: MAY 11, 1981 RESOLUTION RE: APPROVAL OF REPLAT OF SEEMORE HEIGHTS FOR GUY BRALY WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, on the 6th day of May, 1981, a public meeting was held before the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, upon the application of Guy ,Braly for a replat of Seemore Heights, being more particularly described as follows: Part of the Northwest Quarter of Section 30 , Township 3 North, Range 68 West of the 6th P.M. , Weld County , Colorado WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners heard the testi- mony and statements of those present, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has studied the request and the recommendations of the Weld County Planning Com- mission, and having been fully informed, is satisfied that the proposed replat of Seemore Heights conforms to the requirements of the Weld County Subdivision Regulations and finds that the approval of said replat would be in the best interests of Weld County. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com- missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the replat of Seemore Heights as submitted by Guy Braly be, and hereby is , approved provided that the plat be amended to include the following note: "A site specific soils investigation and an individual foundation design may be required by the Building Inspection Deivision prior to issuance of any 'building permits on Lots 1 and 2 . At that time It had approximately 40 acres, (the North West corner), that was a huge mosquito nest and swamp. This area was condemned for build- ing because of impervious clay that prohibited drainage and satisfactory septic leach fields. Having years of experience along those lines, I solved this problem by unique methods. Now we have a well drained neighbor- hood, and septics that work reasonably well; also desirable home sites for seven more families in this area. - • I have sponsored two solar hones here that can be heated in winter and cooled in summer for a small fraction of the cost of a conventional home. There is 4.6 acres left of this parcel, which is zoned agricultural. This is a very poor clay soil and has a drpinag a outlet of highly alkaline . 40 water.
