Gentlemen:
I'm writing to protest the special permit for a kennel to be located at
Lot 7, Block 20, Aristocrat Ranchettes, Section 27, T2N, R66W of the
6th P.M., Weld County,Colorado.
We have 2 Kennels two blocks north of us, north on road 18 as it is.
we have the unique pleasure of their noise/barking as it is. We do not
need any more Kennels around us. The noise factor is there no matter
what they do about it.
I wish to VETO the Special Permit for the Kennel at said property

Since being a property owner within five-hundred (500) feet of the property, which a
kennel request has been made, a letter was received last month regarding this request. As
property owners, we strongly discourage any kind of kennel in our area especially this
close to our property.
There are enough dogs that are drugged and killed each year at Humane Societies. We
feel that there is no need to have a kennel for raising dogs. There are plenty of dogs in
our country right now.
At the same time, it is unfair to dogs being born just for breeders to make money in
selling them and sometimes selling them to ill responsible adults that don't take care of
the dogs after that.
Another reason is the noise with dogs barking. There are enough interruptions around the
area that sometimes at night a person gets disrupted several times trying to sleep.
Still another concern is the waste and smell. I guess it is not so much the smell as the
waste. What would be the plans concerning the waste and it's disposal?
We as homeowners have expressed our feelings on this kennel request and again request
that it be denied in this area at this particular time.
