Box 758 Greeley, Colorado 80631 Greeley, Colorado 80632 (Telefax: 970-304-6498) (Telefax: 970-352-0242) NOTICE OF MINERAL INTERESTS OWNED BY THE ANADARKO ENTITIES Re: Pomeroy-Moser Site Specific Development Plan and Special Review Permit USR-1472 Township 3 North, Ranee 66 West Section 33: S/2NE/4 (approximate 6.5 acre parcel) Weld County, Colorado Ladies and Gentlemen: Anadarko E&P Company LP ("Anadarko E&P"), formerly known as Union Pacific Resources Company, and Anadarko Land Corp. ("Anadarko Land"), formerly known as Union Pacific Land Resources Corporation, have asked me to respond on their behalf to a notice of a public hearing to be held on May 18, 2004 before the Weld County Planning Commission concerning an application for a site specific development plan and special review permit to locate a dog kennel ("Application") on an approximate six and a half acre parcel of property located in a portion of the S/2NE/4 of Section 33, Township 3 North, Range 66 West in Weld County("Property"). The Anadarko entities own all of the minerals that underlie the Property. Anadarko E&P owns all of the oil and gas that underlies the Property, and Anadarko Land owns the minerals other than the oil and gas, as well as a reversionary interest in the oil and gas. Members of the Weld County Planning Commission County Commissioners of Weld County April 15, 2004 Page 2 A predecessor company to Anadarko E&P has given oil and gas leases that include the Property, leasehold interests in which appear to be owned by Kerr-McGee Rocky Mountain Corporation ("Kerr-McGee"), Patina Oil & Gas Corporation ("Patina") and United States Exploration, Inc. ("UXP"). Patina and Kerr-McGee each operate a producing well in the SE/4NE/4 of Section 33, the quarter section in which it appears that the dog kennel is proposed to be sited. Because the Anadarko entities understand that the lands included in the Application are limited to less than seven acres and that it appears from the footprint for the proposed use that the property is located in the comermost region of the SE/4NE/4, the Anadarko entities have no objection to the Application. The Anadarko entities, however, note that the Applicant may need to work with Patina and Kerr-McGee with respect to matters related to any of their current oil and gas operations on the Property.
