WELD COUNTY COUNCIL

The Weld County Council met in regular session in full conformity with the Weld
County Home Rule Charter, Tuesday September 21, 2004, 6:30 p.m., at Weld County
Centennial Center, 915 10th Street, Greeley, CO.
ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by President Douglas Rademacher.
Vice President Chip Marks, Councilman Dwaine Kurtz, and Councilman Will Sander
were present, constituting a quorum of the members. Councilman Mitchell Martin
arrived at 6:35 p.m. Also present: Rebecca Waddingham and the Council secretary,
Bev Thomas.
AGENDA ADDITIONS/APPROVAL: The agenda was approved as printed.
APPROVAL OF DOCUMENTATION:
August 17, 2004 Council Meeting Minutes
Vice President Chip Marks made a motion to approve the August 17, 2004 Council
meeting minutes. The motion was seconded and carried.
PUBLIC COMMENT: There was no public comment.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
Adopt Resolution 144 RE: Commissioners' Salaries for 2007 & 2008
Councilman William Sander made a motion to adopt Resolution 144 setting the salaries
of the Weld County Commissioners at $67,000 in the year 2007 and $69,000 for the
year 2008. Vice President Chip Marks seconded the motion, and it carried
unanimously with a roll call vote.
NEW BUSINESS:
COORDINATOR REPORTS
Vice President Chip Marks reported on the August 23 elected officials meeting.
Councilman Dwaine Kurtz and Councilman William Sander will look into the possibility
of a change to the Weld County Home Rule Charter to lower the number of signatures
required of Weld County Council candidates to be on the ballot. Other possible Home
Rule Charter changes were also discussed.

PAYMENT OF THE BILLS
Councilman Martin made a motion to approve the following bills:
Mileage for Councilman Chip Marks $59.64
Mileage for Councilman Mitchell Martin $22.72
Mileage for Councilman Douglas Rademacher $19.88
Office Supplies Reimbursement to Bev Thomas $13.25
The motion was seconded and carried.
ADJOURNMENT: The meeting was adjourned at 7:05 p.m.
