Home My WebLink About20041026 RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS MINUTES BOARD OF SOCIAL SERVICES WELD COUNTY, COLORADO MARCH 31, 2004 TAPE #2004-13 The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, met in regular session as the Board of Social Services in full conformity with the laws of the State of Colorado at the regular place of meeting in the Weld County Centennial Center, Greeley, Colorado, March 31, 2004, at the hour of 9:00 a.m. ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by the Chair and on roll call the following members were present, constituting a quorum of the members thereof: Commissioner Robert D. Masden, Chair Commissioner William H. Jerke, Pro-Tem Commissioner M. J. Geile Commissioner David E. Long Commissioner Glenn Vaad Also present: County Attorney, Bruce T. Barker Acting Clerk to the Board, Esther E. Gesick Director of Finance and Administration, Don Warden MINUTES: Commissioner Vaad moved to approve the minutes of the Board of Social Services meeting of March 29, 2004, as printed. Commissioner Long seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously. WARRANTS: Don Warden,Director of Finance and Administration, presented the warrants for approval by the Board in the amount of $96,333.45. Commissioner Long moved to approve the warrants as presented by Mr. Warden. Commissioner Geile seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. NEW BUSINESS: CONSIDER AGREEMENT TO PURCHASE CHILD PLACEMENT AGENCY SERVICES AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN-COLORADO FAMILY SERVICES, INC.:Judy Griego, Director of Department of Social Services,stated under this agreement the Department of Social Services will reimburse Colorado Family Services, Inc., at a rate based on the Needs Based Care Assessment levels, including room, board and treatment,for the term beginning March 10,2004,and ending June 30,2004. Commissioner Vaad moved to approve said agreement and authorize the Chairto sign. Seconded by Commissioner Geile,the motion carried unanimously. CONSIDER TWO AGREEMENTS TO PURCHASE RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT CENTER SERVICES AND RESIDENTIAL CHILD CARE FACILITY SERVICES AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN-FLATIRONS BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CORPORATION: Ms. Griego stated the term of these agreements is from February 25, 2004, through June 30, 2004. She stated the Department of Social Services agrees to reimburse Flatirons Behavioral Health Corporation for Residential Treatment Center services, including room and board,and excluding treatment costs covered by Medicaid,at a rate of$42.07 per day. Theywill also pay$72.56 per day for Residential Child Care Facility services, including room,board,and treatment. 2004-1026 BC0016 e$0 ei$0 7%y Commissioner Vaad moved to approve said agreements and authorize the Chair to sign. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Long, and it carried unanimously. Let the minutes reflect that the above and foregoing actions were attested to and respectfullysubmitted by the Acting Clerk to the Board.
