RE: APPROVAL OF LETTER OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE WELD COUNTY
SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT AND THE COLORADO AIR NATIONAL GUARD
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, a letter of agreement between the Weld County
Sheriff and the Colorado Air National Guard concerning the pro-
viding by the Weld County Sheriff ' s Department of security per-
sonnel, has been presented to the Board of County Commissioners,
and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, after studying
said letter of agreement, deems it advisable to approve the same.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the letter of agreement
between the Weld County Sheriff' s Department and the Colorado
Air National Guard be, and hereby is , approved.
The above and foregoing Resolution was , on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 20th day of
May, A.D. , 1981.

LETTER OF AGREEMENT
1. PURPOSE: This agreement establishes areas, responsi-
bilities and procedures to accomplish an effective standard
physical security of USAF resources during non-duty days/
hours of the 138th Tactical Control Flight (FACP) , Colorado
Air National Guard, Greeley ANG Station, Greeley, Colorado
80631.
2. AREA: 6. 72 acres, east of the City of Greeley, located
three miles east of U.S. highway 85 (By-pass) on Colorado
highway 93 and adjacent to the Weld County Municipal Airport.
ADDRESS: 2605 East 8th Street, Greeley, Colorado 80631.
3. RESPONSIBILITIES AND PROCEDURES
a. Commander, 138th Tactical Control Flight will:
(1) Protect United States Government property under
his jurisdiction.
(2) Provide a suitable communications link with the
Weld County Sheriff' s Department for proper notification of
loss, unauthorized penetration, damage or destruction.
(3) Provide the Weld County Sheriff' s Department with
a schedule of Unit Training Assemblies (UTAs) , and civilian
work schedule.
b. Weld County Sheriff' s Department will AGREE TO:
(1) Provide the patrolling security personnel with
24-hour point of radio contact. The 24-hour point of radio
contact must be capable of alerting or calling the commander,
138th Tactical Control Flight.
(2) Provide 24-hour armed response during all non-duty
days/hours.
(3) Apprehend, hold, or arrest person(s) involved in
theft, unauthorized penetration, damage or destruction.

subject: _ Letter of Agreement-Colorado Air National Guard
Attached is an original Letter of Agreement from Major Roy C. Chase of the
Air National Guard, Greeley ANG Station. Major Chase has requested that an
up dated Agreement be on file in that he has replaced Major Fisher as Comman-
der of the Guard Station.
Major Chase requested that copies of the Agreement with all signatures a-
fixed thereto be returned to him and the Sheriff's Department.
