RE: HEARING TO OBTAIN PUBLIC INPUT REGARDING AN INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT
THAT WILL PROVIDE A SEWER LINE FROM THE NEW AURORA ORGANIC DAIRY
MILK PROCESSING PLANT ON STATE HIGHWAY 66 TO THE ST. VRAIN SANITATION
FACILITY (A CDBG PROJECT)
A public hearing was conducted on June 2, 2004, at 10:00 a.m., with the following present:
Commissioner Robert D. Masden, Chair- EXCUSED
Commissioner William H. Jerke, Pro-Tem
Commissioner M. J. Geile
Commissioner David E. Long
Commissioner Glenn Vaad
Also present:

The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated May 12, 2004, and duly published May 15, 2004, in
the Fort Lupton Press, a public hearing was conducted to obtain public input regarding an
Infrastructure Project that will provide a sewer line from the new Aurora Organic Dairy Milk
Processing Plant on State Highway 66 to the St. Vrain Sanitation Facility(a CDBG project). Don
Warden, Director of Finance and Administration, made this a matter of record, and stated the
project is construction of the sewer line from the Aurora Organic Dairy located on State Highway
66 to the Saint Vrain Sanitation Facility. Since the dairy is located in the 100-year floodplain,the new
Federal eight-step process is required to receive public input. Mr. Warden stated the purpose of
this hearing is to receive input on any possible adverse impacts caused by the project and the
suggested manner in which concerns can be minimized. No public testimony was offered
concerning this matter.
Commissioner Pro-Tem Jerke adjourned the hearing at 9:55 a.m., since no action is required of
the Board.

Weld County is planning an infrastructure project that will provide a sewer line from the new Aurora
Organic Dairy milk processing plant on State Highway 66 to the St.Vrain Sanitation facility.This is
a CDBG project under the Colorado program for non-entitlement areas. This project is located in
the 100 year floodplain. The County is interested in discussing alternatives to this project and
securing public perceptions of possible adverse impacts that could result from the project and
possible minimization measures. A public hearing is scheduled foliairellir at 9:00 a.m. to
discuss the proposed project. Please attend or send written comments to the office of the Clerk
to the Board of County Commissioners, Weld County Centennial Center, 915 10th Street, Third
Floor, Greeley, Colorado. E-Mail messages sent to an individual Commissioner may not be
included in the case file. To ensure inclusion of your E-Mail correspondence into the case file,
