COLORADO SUBJECT:
Installation of a Stop and Stop Ahead sign at WCR 47 and WCR 2
It has been brought to the attention of Maintenance Support the need for the installation of a Stop and Stop
Ahead sign at the intersection of WCR 47 and WCR 2 ( E st. 168 th. Ave.). This intersection was a Tee
intersection previously. Adams County has upgraded WCR 2 East and West of WCR 47 with asphalt and
created a new street south of the intersection going into the Box Elder Creek subdivision. There was a Stop sign
placed by Adams County on this street for northbound traffic.
It is the recommendation of this department that a Stop and Stop Ahead sign be placed on WCR 47 coming onto
WCR 2 for southbound traffic to insure the safety of the traveling public. All signing to conform to the Uniform
Traffic Control Manual. (See attached diagram )
