The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, met in regular session as the Board of
Social Services in full conformity with the laws of the State of Colorado at the regular place of meeting in
the Weld County Centennial Center, Greeley, Colorado, June 16, 2004, at the hour of 9:00 a.m.
ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by the Chair and on roll call the following members were
present, constituting a quorum of the members thereof:
Commissioner Robert D. Masden, Chair
Commissioner William H. Jerke, Pro-Tem
Commissioner M. J. Geile
Commissioner David E. Long
Commissioner Glenn Vaad
Also present:
County Attorney, Bruce T. Barker
Acting Clerk to the Board, Carol A. Harding
Director of Finance and Administration, Don Warden
MINUTES: Commissioner Long moved to approve the minutes of the Board of Social Services meeting
of June 14, 2004, as printed. Commissioner Geile seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously.
WARRANTS: Don Warden, Director of Finance and Administration, presented the warrants for approval
by the Board in the amount of $19,659.60. Commissioner Jerke moved to approve the warrants as
presented by Mr. Warden. Commissioner Geile seconded the motion, which carried unanimously.
NEW BUSINESS:
CONSIDER NOTIFICATION OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AWARD FOR THE LITTLER CENTER, DAY
TREATMENT,AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN-NORTH RANGE BEHAVIORAL HEALTH: Judy Griego,
Director of Social Services, stated all twelve of the Notification of Financial Assistance Awards being
considered were discussed with the Board at a work session on June 14, 2004. She stated the term of
all the agreements is June 1,2004 through May 31,2005,and the agreements allow providers to be placed
on the qualified vendor list. Ms. Griego requested all twelve items be approved in one motion.
Commissioner Jerke moved to approve items#1 through 12 and authorize the Chair to sign. Seconded
by Commissioner Vaad, the motion carried unanimously.
CONSIDER TWO NOTIFICATION OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AWARDS WITH VARIOUS PROVIDERS
FOR MEDIATION AND FACILITATION UNDER THE INTENSIVE FAMILY THERAPY PROGRAM AND
