RE: DECLARE CERTAIN EQUIPMENT AS SURPLUS PROPERTY, AND AUTHORIZE
TRADE OF SAME TO WIRELESS ADVANCED COMMUNICATIONS FOR CREDIT
TO THE ACCOUNT OF WELD COUNTY PARAMEDIC SERVICES
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, State statute and the Weld County Code require that all items disposed of
be declared surplus by the Board of County Commissioners, and
WHEREAS, the County has determined that certain equipment, described as obsolete
radio equipment, being more fully described in the list which is attached hereto and incorporated
herein by reference, is no longer required for County use, and
WHEREAS, Weld County Paramedic Services has requested permission to trade the
equipment to Wireless Advanced Communications, for credit to the Paramedic Services
account, and
WHEREAS, Andy Bellindir at Wireless Advanced Communications has indicated the
value of said equipment to be approximately$300 to $400 dollars, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to declare said equipment as surplus and
approve said trade.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the abovementioned equipment be, and hereby is, declared
surplus.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the offer of Wireless Advanced
Communications to appraise the equipment, worth approximately$300 to $400 dollars, and
credit the Paramedic Services account, be, and hereby is, approved.

The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 21st day of April, A.D., 2004.

Gentlemen:
Weld County Paramedic Services has accumulated an assortment of obsolete battery
testing equipment over the past few years. We also have station alert amplifiers and
ancillary equipment that have become obsolete secondary to the implementation of 800
MHZ radios.
There is some salvage value in this equipment per Andy Bellindir at Wireless Advanced
Communications. He has offered to appraise this equipment and credit the ambulance
service for the value of said equipment. All items are small equipment and none are
carried on our asset list as equipment valued in excess of$5000.
Permission to dispose of these obsolete items is hereby requested This request is
consistent with previously requests granted and has been discussed with Claude Hanes.

Below is listed the obsolete equipment that I have requested be sold to Wireless Advanced Equipment. I would
estimate the value at 3 to 4 hundred dollars. Our request is for this money be used as a credit to Weld County
Paramedic Services account at Wireless Advanced Communications for the purchase of ancillary equipment as

2 Visar VHF Portable radios - no longer used
1 Box of miscellaneous portable radio parts
8 Lapel microphones for HT 1250 radios -no longer used
2 Earbuds for HT 1250 radios- no longer used
