RE: COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT APPLICATIONS FOR THE WELD
FOOD BANK PROJECT IN GREELEY, COLORADO
A public hearing was conducted on December 8, 2004, at 9:00 a.m., with the following present:
Commissioner Robert D. Masden, Chair
Commissioner William H. Jerke, Pro-Tem
Commissioner M. J. Geile
Commissioner David E. Long
Commissioner Glenn Vaad
Also present:

The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated November 23, 2004, and duly published
November 27, 2004, in the Fort Lupton Press, a public hearing was conducted to consider the
performance of Weld County in carrying out Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
applications for the equipment for the Weld Food Bank Project in Greeley, Colorado. Mr.Warden
stated the CDBG process requires the Board to hold a hearing to allow public comment on Weld
County's performance in carrying out the projects. He stated the County's involvement was
the acquisition of refrigeration, a phone system and office partitions, with all but $1,400 of the
monies being spent. Mr.Warden stated$300,000 in CDBG funds were received for the Weld Food
Bank Project.
No public testimony was offered concerning these matters. Mr.Warden further stated he received
no written comments regarding this matter, and no action of the Board is necessary.
There being no further discussion, the hearing was completed at 9:40 a.m.

The County of Weld will conduct a public hearing at 9:00 a.m.,on Wednesday, December 8,
2004, in the Chambers of the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, Weld
County Centennial Center, 915 10th Street, First Floor, Greeley, Colorado. The purpose of the
hearing is to allow citizens to review and comment on the performance of the County of Weld in
carrying out the equipment for the Weld County Food Bank Project in Greeley,Colorado,which was
financed with federal Community Development Block Grant funds provided by the State of Colorado.
Written comments are also welcome and must be received by December 8, 2004, in the
office of the Clerk to the Board, 915 10th Street, P.O. Box 758, Greeley, Colorado 80632.
Information and records regarding the above described projects are available at the office of the
Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners, located in the Weld County Centennial Center, 915
10th Street,Third Floor,Greeley,Colorado, Monday through Friday,8:00 a.m.to 5:00 p.m. Advance
notice is requested.
