RESOLUTION
RE: APPROVAL OF AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT BETWEEN WELD COUNTY,
COLORADO AND CITY OF GREELEY CONCERNING DETENTION OF CITY
PRISONERS BY WELD COUNTY AND AUTHORIZATION FOR CHAIRMAN
TO SIGN SAME
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, on the 3rd day of November, 1980 , an agreement was
entered into by Weld County, Colorado and the City of Greeley
concerning the detention of City prisoners by Weld County, and
WHEREAS, the City is now requesting that Section 2 (A) of
said agreement be amended to read as follows:
Section 2 (A)
Forty-five dollars ($45 . 00) for each
day (except as provided in paragraph
(b) below) that a person is lodged in
the County Jail for a violation of
Municipal Ordinances. For purposes
of this Agreement, a person will be
considered to have been "lodged" in
County Jail when he is confined in
the appropriate cell block of the
County Jail facility. The term "day,
as used in this Agreement, shall
start as of the time of entry on the
Jail log and end 24 hours later. The
City shall be charged for a "day" for
any time period less than 24 hours .
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to
approve said amendment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the amendment as here-
inabove stated be, and hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chairman be,
and hereby is, authorized to sign said amendment.

AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT
The agreement between the City of Greeley and Weld County relating to the
detention of City prisoners by the County, dated November 3, 1980, is here-
by amended with respect to Section 2(A) .
Section 2(A) is amended to read as follows:
Sec 2(A). Forty-five dollars ($45.00) for each day (except as provided
