HomeMy WebLinkAbout20040341.tiff STATE OF COLORADO,TOWN OF ERIE, COUNTY OF WELD NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING • IN RE THE CONSOLIDATED SERVICE PLAN FOR THE PROPOSED ERIE CORPORATE CENTER METROPOLITAN DISTRICT NOS. 1-3 PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that there has been filed with the Town Board of Trustees of the Town of Erie ("Board"), Weld County, Colorado, a Consolidated Service Plan ("Service Plan") and related documents for Erie Corporate Center Metropolitan District Nos. 1-3. The Service Plan proposes organization of three special districts to be named Erie Corporate Center Metropolitan District No. 1, Erie Corporate Center Metropolitan District No.2,and Erie Corporate Center Metropolitan District No. 3. A map of the proposed Districts and the Service Plan are on file in the office of the Erie Town Clerk, 645 Holbrook Street, Erie, Colorado 80516, and available for public inspection. The property affected is generally located in Erie between W.C.R. 10 on the south, W.C.R. 12 on the north, W.C.R. 7 on the west and Interstate 25 on the east. NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that the Board will hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 10, 2004, at 645 Holbrook Street, Erie, Colorado, for the purpose of considering the Service Plan and to form a basis for adopting a Resolution approving, disapproving or conditionally approving the Service Plan for the Erie Corporate Center Metropolitan District Nos. 1-3. All protests and objections must be submitted in writing to the Erie Town Clerk at or prior to the public hearing or any continuance or postponement thereof in order to be considered, or shall thereafter be waived. The Districts are proposed to be organized to provide sanitation, water, streets, traffic safety controls, park and recreation improvements. The estimated construction costs of improvements is approximately $18,011,582, to be paid from general obligation bonds not to exceed $27,000,000 as more specifically described in the Service Plan. The estimated time period over which the proposed financing will be paid is not to exceed forty(40)years. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that pursuant to Section 32-1-203(3.5), Colorado Revised Statutes, as amended, any owner of real property within the Districts may file a petition with the Board requesting that such real property be excluded from the Districts. Any person owning property in the special districts who requests that his/her property be excluded from the Districts prior to approval of the Consolidated Service Plan shall submit such request to the Erie Town Clerk no later than ten days prior to the public hearing, but the Board shall not be limited in its action with respect to exclusion of territory based upon such request. Any request for exclusion shall be acted upon before final action of the Board under Section 32-1-205, C.R.S.
