RE: Speed Limit on U.S. Highway 85
Dear Ms. Davis:
Thank you for your letter dated March 27, 2004, stating your concerns on the speed limit on U.S.
Highway 85.
The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) has jurisdiction over all state highways;
therefore, I will refer your letter to Larry Haas, CDOT, 1420 2nd Street, Greeley, Colorado.
Since the speed limit problem appears to be in the Town of Nunn limits, the mayor might be able
to help resolve the problem.

at 686 Lincoln Ave, on the north side of 7th Street, which opens onto Highway 85. The north .e"
bound speed limit sign on the,.east side of the higway is 40 mph. Theeuthbound speed sign ork
the west side of the highway is. frmph.This 65 mph sign is located o blocks NORTH of 7th. It
is a very dangerous intersectioa.anywey; the speed change is not a good thing. Do you think you
could have CDOT move the 65 mph sign to the south edge of Nunn? Or at least south of 8th
Court Lane?Thank you.
