RE: GRANT REQUEST OF AIMS VETERANS ASSOCIATION FOR USE OF THE
EXHIBITION BUILDING AND WAIVE EQUIPMENT RENTAL FEES
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Aims Veterans Association, a non-profit organization,
has requested that the fees associated with the rental of the
Exhibition Building and related equipment be waived for a fund raising
sporting event to be held on April 9, 1982, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners desires to grant
part of the Aims Veterans Association request and waive the equipment
rental fees only, the following fees associated with the rental of
the Exhibition Building will be paid by the Aims Veterans Assoc-
iation:
$135. 00 rental fee for 1 to 4 hours (or in accordance with
the dollar amounts for hours used in the fee schedule)
$50. 00 damage and cleaning deposit
Any County labor provided beyond routine service
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commis-
sioners that the Exhibition Building equipment rental fees, be and hereby,
are, waived for a benefit to be held by the Aims Veterans Association.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the above listed fees,
if applicable, shall be paid by the Aims Veterans Association.
The above and foregoing resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 22nd day of
February, A.D. , 1982 .

Dear Commissioners:
We the governing body for the Aims Veterans Association, a
non-profit organization, respectfully petition you, the
Board of Commissioners for the County of Weld, to waiver the
fees associated with the use of the Weld County Service
Building Extention and equipment located in Island Grove Park,
for April 9 , 1982 .
Our reason for this request is to facilitate us in staging
a sporting event on the evening of April 9 , 1982 . The monies
raised will go toward the implementation of several programs
sponsored by Aims Veterans Association.
The programs we would like to initiate are: A tuition
assistance program, professional counciling service, inter-
action groups , work-study program, job search, referal and
placement program and an immediate financial relief fund.
Board of County Commissioners, we the Aims Veterans Assoc-
iation employ you to grant our petition for a waiver. If
more information is needed, please contact W.J. Hansell
through the Veterans Affairs Office at Aims Community
College, 330-8008 , #262 .
